ETI Research LINK XLR Connector

The ETI Research LINK XLR Connector is designed for high-performance balanced audio applications where conductivity, mechanical durability and effective noise rejection are essential. Both the male and female conductive components are manufactured from Tellurium Copper, combining high conductivity with the strength required for repeated connection and disconnection in hi-fi, studio and professional audio systems.

The conductive pins of the ETI Research LINK XLR feature a hollow construction inspired by ETI Research’s RCA connector designs. Reducing unnecessary material within the signal path helps minimise capacitance and resistance while maintaining the mechanical integrity required for a precision connection. The contacts are engineered for an accurate fit, helping maintain a secure and consistent electrical connection between connected equipment.

Gold plating is applied directly to the Tellurium Copper conductors of the ETI Research LINK XLR without an intermediate nickel layer. This provides a durable, corrosion-resistant contact surface while maintaining a direct conductive path between the gold plating and copper beneath. A high-quality brass outer housing provides mechanical protection together with effective EMI shielding, helping protect the audio signal from electromagnetic interference.

Mechanical reliability is further enhanced through twin strain relief screws that secure the cable to the connector and reduce stress on the terminated conductors during plugging, unplugging and cable movement. Combining Tellurium Copper, direct gold plating, hollow pin construction, brass shielding and secure cable retention, the ETI Research LINK XLR Connector is suited to high-end home audio, studio installations and live sound applications.
