ETI Research Kryo XLR Connectors

The ETI Research Kryo XLR Connector is designed for high-performance balanced audio applications where conductivity, mechanical strength and effective noise rejection are essential. Both male and female conductive components are precision machined from Tellurium Copper and silver plated, providing a highly conductive signal path together with the durability required for repeated use in demanding hi-fi and professional audio systems.

The conductive pins of the ETI Research Kryo XLR use a hollow construction designed to reduce unnecessary material within the signal path, helping minimise capacitance and resistance. The female XLR contacts are precision machined to provide a firm and accurate connection, while a Teflon dielectric electrically isolates the conductive components. Silver plating is applied without an intermediate nickel layer, maintaining a direct conductive path between the plating and Tellurium Copper.

A brass outer housing on the ETI Research Kryo XLR provides both mechanical protection and effective vibration damping, while also offering EMI and RF noise rejection. This helps shield the audio signal from interference generated by processors, switching power supplies and other electronic equipment commonly found around modern audio systems.

Mechanical reliability is supported by a twin strain relief system that secures the cable and reduces stress on the terminated conductors during repeated connection and removal. The compact housing also helps minimise how far the connector extends from connected equipment, improving cable management in confined spaces. The ETI Research Kryo XLR accommodates cables up to 13 mm in diameter, or up to 9 mm when the supplied insert is installed, and is covered by a one-year warranty.
